Yogasutras of Patanjali
The Yogasutras of Patanjali is the foundation text on yoga practice. Penned thousands of years ago, Patanjali gave us practices to assist us in navigating our lives with skill and grace, in a way that is as relevant today as it was in days past. They provide us with a strategy to move towards the state of wholeness that exists in each one of us.
This weekly online class will allow you to discover the essence of yoga beyond physical practice. We will explore how the ancient wisdom of yoga psychology can permeate our daily lives, and help us to live with more clarity and intention.
Through individual study and group discussion, you will learn ancient guidelines and discover practical applications for them in your daily experience.
The basis of our study will be the commentary of Vyāsa, considered the most important commentary. We will focus on some of the sutras that are particularly relevant and accessible to all levels of experience.
This course consists of 10 weekly classes conducted online via Zoom. They are suitable for practitioners and teachers, at any level of experience, who wish to delve into this ancient wisdom.
